Just over a year ago, a cheeky little monkey called Mani escaped from his home at Westfield Safari Park.

He had lived there for many years, in his little monkey world, with his monkey family and friends.

Each day, Mani would watch the constant stream of visitors to the park, drive into the monkey enclosure, stop take some pictures and then drive away again.  Every evening as the day turned to night, he would wonder where they went and what was in the World outside the fences of his enclosure.

As he dreamed of the outside world, he hatched a plan to escape the monkey enclosure and find out what really outside the big metal gates.

Over a period of a few months, the monkeys slowly stole parts from all the cars that entered the park.

Each night the monkeys would return to the monkey house and put together all the parts that they had stolen from the visitor's cars during the day.

Soon, Mani's plan was coming together.   Slowly, the clever monkeys had constructed a little monkey car from the parts and Mani got ready for his escape.

One warm sunny morning, Mani packed his case, said goodbye to the other monkeys and climbed into the monkey car.   The day of the great escape had finally come.

He started the car, which slowly spluttered into action.  This was Mani's moment.    As the car began to speed towards the gates, he gave one final wave to the other monkeys, and he braced himself for the great World outside.

As his car approached the electric gates, they opened and Mani could finally see a whole new World.

Since the escape Mani has been around the country and beyond finding the greatest places to stay. picking up bargains and having a great time.Have you seen Mani Monkey ?
